Apple to ‘cut iPod Shuffle’?
Apple’s failure to match pre-Macworld speculation and announce a revised iPod Shuffle could have sounded the screen-less music player’s death knell. Its replacement, suggests UBS Investment Research analyst Ben Reitzes, will be a 1GB iPod Nano.
As an iPod Shuffle user, it is somewhat disappointing to even imagine the Shuffle being cut from the Apple iPod lineup. the screenless player is priceless for users – like me – who rarely pull the player out of their pockets. However, replacing the 1GB Shuffle with a 1GB Nano seems like a advantageous decision on Apple’s part. The Nano manufacturing resoures are in place. A 1GB Nano would silence cries for a Shuffle featuring a “screen”. Thoughts?
