Search and download audio files from your browser

Found the following link via Digg while laboriously sifting through my feeds. I say laboriously due to the fact that my favorite web-based RSS reader SearchFox is closing its doors. Any reliable tips for web based readers aside from Bloglines, Rojo, or Newsalloy?

Anyway, returning to the original topic at hand…

How convenient would it be to search for and download audio files directly from your browser without having to fire up uTorrent [bittorrent] or Cabos [Gnutella]? It’s pretty damn convieniant!

Try It

** Note: This post serves as an educational example of the options made available with a little geek know how. UNEASYsilence is not supporting nor condones any type of possibly illegal file sharing.

theres just one thing that some people wont like. these are radio blog files. encoded into a smaller format, bitrate or something like that. there used for the radio script.

    But it’s a good idea.

Try netvibes for an RSS reader. I’m in the same boat as you since I used Searchfox as well.

I use NetNewsWire – I have it loaded with feeds (UneasySilence is at the top!) – but it works great. I’m on a mac, so I know I was limited in my choices.
There is the option of Google IG – but I found browser based readers just aren’t fast enough for me.
