Opinion: Are we ready for the 9/11 film (Flight 93)

no and no….

it is repugnant to make a spectacle of these events and plan to make money on top of it. Is this movie supposed to provide closure for the viewer or a perverted voyueristic peek?

What does it matter? If you have a problem with it and are uncomfortable, don’t see it. It’s a story of an event.

Way to soon… NO NO.. Money NO!!!

Since we have no real way of knowing what /actually/ happened on the flight, action for action, Hollywood will do a botched job trying to make the story sensational. So, in the end, they’ll take an interesting story and turn it into typical Hollywood crap action flick. What a great way to portray victims of terrorism.

Flight 93 never existed, so it’s fitting Hollywood makes it into a sensationalist drama America is bombarded with through TV.

Flight 93 is a far too American story…but anyways it’s not “too soon” it either shouldn’t be made or can be made whenever….the timing shouldn’t matter.

Now answer this, who wants to go see a movie with the following plot.

People board plane, terrorists take over plane, people take over plane, plane crashes.

Oh! Sounds like an exciting 1 hour and 30 minutes. I can’t wait to sleep through it.

Uh…your talking to a non-horror movie yet pro-drama person. Honestly, I doubt I’ll see, since I hardly ever go to the movies, but it sounds interesting and I’ll be hearing about it on the news far more than I hear about Brokeback Mountain…

How fitting. Another American hero movie. Rally up the troups. Our job is done in Iraq. Just in time to invade Iran.
(Bush is better to eat than have to listen to!)

I can’t wait until this is an in-flight movie on my next trip to the Big Apple. ;)

I just noticed that A&E had a movie called “Flight 93″ also. It’s on all this week. How weird. I thought it was the preview for the one to be in theatres, but it’s their own movie on 9-11.
