Google Video opens its doors
If you frequent the Google Video homepage you may have noticed that the site now offers videos for download… at a price. I see a few videos for sale right now on the front page ranging in prices from an iTunes Music Store like $1.99 up to $5.95 for a 1 hr 34 min piece titled “Too Cool for Christmas”. There a are a few NBA games up as with 30 second previews and download price of $3.95.
If you’re signed into your Google account, you’ll also notice a fresh new link titled ‘Purchased Videos’. Not surprisingly, mine is empty.
Google now offers the option to download free video content – for Windows / Mac, iPod Video, or the Sony PSP – directly to your hardrive. Simply click the ‘Download’ link to the right of video content. No need for GreaseMonkey userscripts.
