Favorville – I need a special favor
I’ve spent the past hour or so perusing the listings on Favorville.com and admire the beta service for mustering the courage to enter an already saturated market. By market, I am referring to Craigslist.

From the Favorville ‘About’ page:
Favorville.com is a social networking tool which provides members with the opportunity to help and be helped by others. With Favorville, members can post help requests, offer help and help grow the community. Favorville makes it easy to get in touch and build lasting connections with helpful neighbors, both in your locale or across the global village.
An eye pleasing interface, user maintained profiles, and the ability to tag “offering” (individuals offering favores) and “seeking” (individuals seeking favors) listings are the only upsides I see for the service. Check the site out for yourself and chime in with your thoughts, concerns, or initial impressions. Anyone discover any significantly eye-catching favors being requested or offered in your area(s)?
There is one noticeable difference I noticed when comparing the service to Craigslist. That is the lack of individuals offering or seeking “special” favors.
