Could Blackberry service really shut down on Feb 24th?

While Crackberry addicts across the country prepare for possible withdrawal, those of us with smartphones who do not care about getting our email the nanosecond after it is sent smugly go about our daily business without a care in the world.

Personally, no editor at UNEASYsilence has a Blackberry (Loyal Treo user here), be we understand once somebody gets used to instant email it is hard to go back. But I believe that service will terminate, but for a span of a day or two while RIM and NTP come up with an equitable settlement.
