Video chat with Google Talk

Google Talk plus video. It works! Unfortunately, it’s not official. In order to see who you’re talking to on Google Talk, you’ll need to install the Festoon Google Talk plugin. No worries, it’s free! [Windows XP or 2000 only]

Isn’t it great when new web services roll out without features that should have been built-in from the get-go? The only wow factor I recalled concerning Google Talk was the Google brand name. Yeah that ship has sailed. That and the “oh wow” my most mailed contacts in Gmail are automatically added to my buddy list! It’s great to see developers creating free plugins to compliment our feature missing chat clients. Clap it up for Festoon! [via]
