Last.fm desktop player

Streaming audio content is nothing new, but the Last.fm desktop player is among the best I’ve tried. In order to listen to streaming content you’ll need to register for a free Last.fm account. Unfortunately the application is open to Windows users only. Apparently the official Last.fm player is available for OSX and Linux from here.

    The linux client currently streaming Jimi Hendrix out of my speakers says “You’re Wrong!” in a comically squeaky voice.

    This reminds me of LaunchCast. Except you can scale on 1-5 instead of just “Ban” or “Love”

    Actually the Last.FM player is available for Mac OS X, Windows, Linux and FreeBSD.

    Its been written in C++ and uses the QT toolkit, which means it should work on a pretty much anything (with a little bit of effort) and the source code is open source, so anyone is free to do that.

    Actually the myLast.fm player supports Windows 2000/XP only.

    The official Last.fm player from here supports Windows, Linux, and OSX.
