How-To: Skins for iTunes 6 [Windows]
Prior to the release of iTunes 6, I had planned for an iTunes 5 ReShacking tutorial. There were already plenty of tutorials floating around the net for “recoloring” iTunes on OSX. Once again, Windows users were left to sulk in the corner as OSX users were provided ‘skinning’ options for their favorite player.
Seeing as though iTunes 6 hacking with ReShacker is a little too involved for the average user, I’ve decided to re-recommend a stand alone plugin which allows for quick and easy skin changes. Back in July we covered a great plugin by the name of Multi-Plugin for iTunes. Aside from minor font tweaking, and application identifying optiones, the plugin offered the ability to switch between skins on the fly without restarting the application.

I recently discovered a handful of new skins which you may find appealing. Some of you may be happy with the default iTunes layout while others may prefere a little change from time to time.
In order to apply skins to iTunes 6 you’ll need to download the Multi-Plugin from here. Once the plugin is installed, check out a few skin options here. The screenshot above is iTunes 6 with the ‘Milk’ skin. Download the skin of your choice and drag the unrar’d folder(s) into C:\Program Files\iTunes\skins and check the Multi-Plugin preferences from within iTunes to find your skinning options.
