Of all the iTunes ROKR related posts I’ve read, there is supposedly going to be some sort of limit of 100 songs. Lame. But I guess Apple wouldn’t want to lose possible iPod / Shuffle customers to a mobile phone right?

well, the 100 song limit sounds more like a hardware limit than anything else, especially if apple sells these phones in their stores(which they probably wont). If they did sign you up at the store they’d be looking at about 200 dollars from cingular for each contract. and anyway, 100 songs at about 3 minutes each would be a lot of memory for a cell phone.

Well common sense would say that a 100 song limit would be a hardware limitation. However, we don’t know what kind of agreement Apple may or may not have with Motorola or any handset for that matter using iTunes. It’s a stretch, but who knows.

100 songs doesn’t sound like much if users are able to transfer tracks directly from their computers. Unfortunately, cell phone carries like making money off ringtones. I bet carriers are going to try and force users to use carrier downloading services.

whats with everyone trying to put everything into one device, those things generally suck.
    N-gage.
but, if its by apple, it will at least look good and function.
