I’ve done this since a year or two ago(I may be exaggerating, but I’ve known this for a long time), I noticed that iTunes kept a .tmp file in the temp folder, but you couldn’t copy it. So I got a program that could “recover harddrives” and used it to “recover” that file and renamed it to whatever.mov
But finally there’s a different way.

This would be great but i would have to buy Quicktime Pro, When I go and right click on the video the option is given but it is grey, And it wants me to purchase Quicktime PRO.
Is there any way around this??????

I’m having some problems finding the music video URL… I just downloaded iTunes… I got one music video downloaded, but I can’t seem to find out how I did it.

@L: The directions were made as clear as possible.

From the main iTMS window, select ‘music videos’. In the resulting window choose the video of your choice. In the last window right click on the ‘small’ or ‘large’ link and ‘copy url’.

hey, I’m not a retard. I have tried this process a dozen times and it won’t let me save to target. I am right clicking the LINK, not opening the file. Still won’t work. Works fine on my daughters computer with EXACT same steps. Could it be my computer? Tried large and small. Nada. Bummer

Appears that iTunes 6 has changed the way it works, this no longer works (you get a cannot connect network error).

Similar code for search itunes still works though, I assume this means they’ve changed their end.

Yeah, but if you have links that you got before they changed the store, try them out.

Hmmm… i really hope we can get this working – they’ve probally just changed the waay they do the URLs. Do we know if the quality of the videos is less for the new iPods or have they kept them at a high quality?

hmm.. now i look @ it more closely.. i dont think ur gonna be able 2 do it.. unless u hack itunes the program its self to allow you to right click on the preview links.. but even then they might only be streams…. might be the end of free videos :(

Can I get in toruble for this

I fixed the video script, but it appears as though the videoId numbers have changed in some cases since the old URL’s arn’t working and in some cases the video’s are just missing (e.g. I can’t find Restless by Alison Krauss). If you can find it in the store, you can download it with the updated script (e.g. Avril Lavigne).

Even as I was posting it, the two examples of videos that you could still get to in iTMS stopped working even from iTunes, which makes me believe that they’re just going through and removing them all. I’ll leave the updated script up there, but it probably won’t work for long. Get it here.

i go to the itms and right click on the video i want and then press copy the url from the tims and then i copy it and then i paste it into emptybar that says paste url here and then when i do that it just like flashes and it doesnt do anything wat should i do i know some one smart can help

No it doesnt work anymore but iTunes has a weak selection of EDITED videos anyway, you want the best just download limewire and pretty much get any video or song ever made, UNEDITED! WORD!

I have read every post and I Think I am right in saying the following…I tunes have sussed the weakness and changed it. If you have version 6 or later the hack wont work. Do you need a lower version to make it work? I bet it wont work now that they have sussed it, even on a versions less than number 6. So, No it wont work on an old version. Besides how they present their content has nothing to do with what version you own…the versions are a reference to how the itunes programme works and operates, when you go into the store you are effectivley going into a website of sorts, and that is seperate from the programme iteself.Bottom line…The hack no longer works…so all those people who keep asking need read no further…unless a new hack in born of course

figuring out a php hack for accessing videos via itunes 6 is a little easier said than done. my only recommendation is to check the frontpage routinely (RSS).

the video’s downloaded off of yahoo vary in quality. most of the time the choppiness can be attributed to your actual computer. make sure your codecs and video drivers are updated.

i have a question. if you still work with an earlier version of itunes (meaning before they changed how the videos are) could you “steal” the videos? i use version 6.o but i still have the c.d for my old itunes, so could it work?

running an old version wouldn’t work considering itunes has changed the backend of the iTMS completely. itunes users wishing to download tracks from the music store are required to update their software.

Sadly I found this script after iTunes changed the backend so i was to late to download. But i was wondering if those of you who did manage to download iTunes Music Videos post the links on a website so others could right-click, save target as and watch.

Hello, I recently bought an ipod, and had to download the 7.0 version, after reading all the comments on this page, I am pretty sure that, as smart & cool as this website is for trying to help people, it ain’t gonna work, esp if you have a newer version don’t waste your time, don’t believe me? Just read all these comments above of ppl trying to follow these instructions and having no results, the same thing happened to me, so it ain’t gonna work sadly to say.
