GAP.com’s been down for awhile

I don’t usually step into the GAP, let alone visit their online store. Apparently GAP is going with an AJAX redesign to “cut down on user clicks” for a real store like shopping experience. According to the New York Times’s, GAP.com has been down for about two weeks. Two weeks for a site redesign? What happened with designing & testing offsite and then implementing the finished product?

On a side note, I thought this read was interesting: The Summer Women Failed Us. Is it weird that I thought Goucho pants looked good on women?

I went to the site and was part of a “special preview” crowd. If anyone wants a screenshot of the ‘new’ main page leave a comment.
