College life, powered by Google?

It’s always great to hear about major companies supporting students. I can’t believe I missed this page by Google. I guess college life is powered by Google. I wonder if Google would ever consider paying institutions to use integrate the Google College page into their default homepages. Thoughts? That’s potential profitable data.

You spend your life dealing with information. A lot of it is academic, a lot more is personal, it all matters, and you can probably use better tools for handling it effectively.

There aren’t any new services being offered specifically geared towards college students. It’s just an alternative method to see all of Google’s services on one page. I’m curious as to why Google Desktop Search isn’t one on the page.

    I fail to see a better *content* (be it academic) for searches with this variant :-( it’s really tiresome to get hundreds of thousands of references for the least search.

    There are too many links to filter through when conducting academic searches with Google. Not sure if you’re using these methods for searches, but use a site:.edu or .gov to focus your search results. Proquest is also a good resource for searching archived articles.
