High ho’ Silver – Mapping your sexual escapades
With all the Google Maps mashups that have been popping up left and right, I figured it was only a matter of time before someone created a “Sex” map. Hell, if I had some time I would have tried using the Google Maps API for personal endeavors.
The Museum of Sex invites you to participate in its national project, Mapping Sex in America. Record your personal sex history and become a part of this ongoing archive chronicling Americans’ stories of sexual practice and the evolution of America’s sexual customs.
Although this little project doesn’t utilize Google Maps, the interface gets the job done (complete with an ol’ Western Salon music theme playing in the background). Click your state (US mapping only), zoom in on your city / town, then add your story. If you’re looking for a couple tips, maybe chart your frontseat / backseat quickie, the GAP fitting room encounter, or the playground “slide” incident. Ergh… I don’t have the slightest clue where those ideas came from.
