‘Bum-vertise’ your website

A local University of Washington student is offering the homeless a little “pay” in exchange for a little low-cost advertising.

In exchange for food, water and an undisclosed amount of cash, panhandlers agree to hold their please-give-sign and Rogovy’s sign advertising his Web site, which purports to be an online directory that connects “poker players from around the globe.”

I have yet to see any panhandlers around Seattle holding up these green poker signs. If you’re in Seattle and you happen to see one, post a comment and let me know where they’re located.

For those seeking an alternative to gaining a little reader traffic as well as a few thoughtful comments, check out craigslist. There was a posting offering a readers time and comments in exchange for $2. The post has since been removed from CL so I didn’t bother providing a link
