Text Message to any landline phone!

Thanks Sprint! For the loyal readers to this site, you may know of my affinity towards CMDA, this just made the pot sweeter!

From July 12, 2005 to October 12, 2005, Sprint PCS subscribers will be able to send a text message to a landline phone at standard domestic text messaging rates! Text messages, which are converted to voice, can be sent to any landline phone in the United States.

When the person answers his or her home phone, they will “hear” the text message you sent and can reply back to you with one of the available responses. You will also receive a text message on your Sprint PCS Phone when a response is sent back to you.

I’m a GSM man myself so I cannot enjoy this feature. I wonder if it has filters on cuss words. To get a call from an automated voice insulting your mother’s moral compass would be worth it.

Then again, who as landline phones anymore?

uhhhh this is old as shit I know… but I just read it… and if you get like 120 characters in a text, which will just be read to the person picking up the phone why not just call them … I’m sure it would take less time doing that than composing the message.

This would be a good time for messing with people though.
