MPAA files lawsuits against TV torrent sites
Thanks to the MPAA, many of the more popular TV torrent sites are being shut down.
The trade association said that piracy of TV programming is growing quickly online, and that shows are as important to protect as big-budget films. This is the first legal action from the group that has focused most heavily on TV content.

Thanks to TiVo and the bittorrent network, many people were able to watch their favorite TV shows in HD format, create home-brew DVR’s with Azureus and RSS, and archive episodes for later viewing.
