Greasemonkey compiler
Remember our post earlier this month on Downloading embedded videos? The actual point of the post was to showcase the power of Greasemonkey userscripts.
Adrian Holovaty has created a Greasemonkey compiler that will compile single userscripts into installable Firefox extensions. The steps are quite simple. Using the original userscript(s) file(s), you simply copy n’ paste content into its respective box in the compiler.
The advantage of converting a userscript into a stand-alone extension? Easier distribution. It’s a lot easier to send someone an .xpi file than it is to explain the two to three step process of using the actual Greasemonkey extension and individual userscripts.
