Waitress fired for refusing to wear makeup

A female bartender who refused to wear makeup at a Reno, Nevada, casino was not unfairly dismissed from her job, a U.S. federal appeals court ruled on Tuesday. Darlene Jespersen, who had worked for nearly 20 years at a Harrah’s Entertainment Inc casino bar in Reno, Nevada, objected to the company’s revised policy that required female bartenders, but not men, to wear makeup.

Ouch. I could understand if she was supposed to wear makeup to match a clown outfit…

I dislike makeup of any form on a woman, not that she should be fired either way on the issue. Body piercings and dyed hair are also fake and disgusting to me. Many perfumes give me headaches.

Sometime women wear “adornment” to attract men, but we men know that when we are alone a lot of us laugh at the way they were madeup. They ARE making clowns out of themselves, in a vain effort to attract men and end up with the wrong guy every time they do it. Why, because they are showing how desperate they are and the wolves see an easy mark. Wise up women, be yourself, unless you wanna be taken for a hooker.I’d rather have an honest woman any day.
