The Wall Street Journal is now reporting that Verizon has gotten a wink and a nod from its parter Vodafone (obviously, they’re trying to spice things up a bit) to make a bid for Sprint, uniting the two CDMA carriers into the nation’s largest wireless service.

i thought sprint and nextel were joining forces? so now it’s going to be sprint/nextel/verizon?

apparently vodafone… verizons parent company, had no idea the bid for sprint was even going on.
