“Pimp My Ride” fined for custom installs

The car shop made famous by MTV’s “Pimp My Ride” has been a little too aggressive in some of its ride-pimping, a federal agency says. West Coast Customs and another TV customizer, Unique Autosports of Uniondale, N.Y., are facing fines for disabling or removing safety equipment from vehicles as part of the overhaul work they do.

    hey it’s not west coast customs falt they take out the safety equipment it’s the people who sign in they won the pay the price.

    that’s why it’s called “custom install’s.” as a custom installer myself, and being around the scene for some time now, I have seen alot of cars and alot of crazy stuff done to them, what they have done, is industry wide, NOT just to those cars. and specifically not at that shop. I think they do great work, and hope they continue. If the fed want to start fining us for what we do, I’ll get in line behind those guys for mine.

    Come on “West Coast Customs” doesn’t cause this, why would they want to put people lives in danger? let alone the business.
